Cross Stitch/what to do with finished projects

Question
I have several completed cross stitch projects. I frame each project as I finish it, then I try to sell them at craft fairs.  They are NOT selling.  I would like to know what else I could do with them.  Something that would bring these beautiful works of art into the 21st century.  In some cases the pieces are 8 x 10 and larger and of course one of a kind.  Coasters, key chains and book marks are out of the question.  I know pillow tops are an option but I would like some additional ideas.  I hope you can help.

Thank you for your time.  I appreciate it.

Answer
Hello, Jolene :)

If you have a sewing machine, you could always make them into quilts, or send them to women who do quilting to make them into quilts for you. You could also make them into tote bags, or donate them to churches for them to try and sell to raise money for whatever they need, or give them away to friends and family for gifts.  You could also make them into decorative pillows that you put onto sofas.

I hope that helps.  Good luck, and happy stitching! :)

Sincerely,

Angela :)

Expertise

I have 22+ years of cross stitching experience, which includes stitching on Aida, evenweave linen, vinyl canvas, and have stitched a design on a cotton t-shirt using waste canvas. I have also worked with beads and blending filament in quite a few projects. I have made many projects which include cross stitched mugs, a keychain, pictures, magnets, and the cotton t-shirt. I can answer questions pertaining to preparing and cleaning fabric, preparing clothing for stitching, how many threads to be used on which Aida cloth, and will try to help you to the best of my ability with other questions you may have. I am prompt in my responses and usually answer within 24 hours from when you ask your question. I look forward to helping you. :)
