Question
Is there a way to clean a picture that has yellowed.  My mother had done this picture about 20 years ago.  I did wash it in woolite, but the yellowing did not come out. I let it air dry and then pressed it.   Look great, but still stained.  Can you help?  She is 89 and I would love to give it back to her w/o the yellow.

thanks for your time,
Mary

Answer
Mary,

My only suggestion is to make a paste of oxi-clean and water. Put it on the yellowed edges and see if that wiil help. Try to avoid getting it on the stitches if you can. You may have to let it sit for awhile and then try washing it again! I wish I could be of more help. I hope this works for you. I have used it and it took most of the stain out that I was trying to get out.

Good luck!
Kris
