Question
Hi Chris, I have the Dimensions pattern #3736 Native Heritage and it has two different fabrics that came with it. In the instructions it says it should be worked over two fabric threads. Does that mean that I'm supposed to cross stitch the two fabrics together? Or is it just a choice of fabrics to use as the background? I'd appreciate it if you could answer as I am anxious to get started on it!! Thank you, Lori

Answer
Lori,

You get to choose between the two fabrics. Stitching over two is a term that means instead of a single stitch covering one square of the fabric it will cover 4. When you bring the needle up you count over two and up two and put the needle down. You then come up two holes below where you went in and count up two and over two to complete the stitch. I wish I could draw a picture for you, but I can't. I do have a link that has some illustrations. I hope this is helpful.

That is a very nice piece you have selected!
Happy Stitching!
