Question
I am making bread cloths and would like to finish the back.  Do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Soni,

A nice cotton backing along with a complementary bias tape edging is what I have used in the past when making bread cloths.

If the bread cloth is to be used for more elegant dinners you can use a decorative fringe edging or lace.

Unless you cross stitched on really thin fabric there should be no need to use any quilt batting between layers, but if you would like a 'quilt' look to your cloth then by all means do so.

I hope this helps.

I can help guide you from cross stitch beginner basics to more advance work. I can answer questions such as: which fabrics to use, how to make my own cross stitch patterns, and even how to find / start a round robin.

Experience

Needlecrafts have been a part of my life for years. I sew, cross stitch, knit, crochet and bobbin lace, just to name a few. Cross stitch was one of the firsat crafts that I learned as a child and has stayed with me as a wonderful and peaceful artistic way to express myself.
