Cross Stitch/fabric count

Question
If a pattern calls for 32 count fabric (2 X 2) and you use 28 count (2 X 2) will the finished picture appear distorted?

Answer
JJ -

Your picture will not be distorted, just larger. To find out how much larger, simply divide the finished stitch count by the fabric count. In this case you are using 28 count fabric but working over 2, so you would use 14 for the fabric count.

I hope this was helpful!
Happy Stitching!
