Question
i have a pattern done on 32 count linen. the design area is 14 3/4 x 17 1/4". 234 x 276 stitches. if i was to do it on 28 count what size fabric do i need? thanks, jane

Answer

To figure finished design size, you divide the stitch count by the fabric count (or half the fabric count if you are stitching over 2). So 234/16 = 14.675 or 14 3/4 and 276/16 = 17.25 or 17 1/4. To change to 28 count, you will divide by 14. 234/14 = 16.71 or 16 3/4 and 276/14 = 19.71 or 19 3/4.

I hope I explained this well!

Happy Stitching!
