Cross Stitch/Looking for lost chart

Question
Hello Vinette,

Looking for designer:  I just started counted cross stitching again and realize I have lost the chart of a piece I started probably 7 - 10 years ago, and would like to finish.  I bought this chart at one of the local cross stitch shops which is now out of business.

Here's description of this very unique religious piece:  It is a large design, about 11 X 14 picture of Christ standing in a white robe. He is holding a lamb and there is a lion at his feet.  Spring flowers are on the ground.  His face is done in pettipoint and is very lovely-detailed halo around his head. I think there may have been beadwork in the halo. The piece itself is very detailed.  The background is a light blue - I chose light blue Jacobean cloth to work this on.  I hope someone will be able to find this for me as I'd love to finish it.

I have never seen anything like this design and can't seem to find it anywhere.  Could it have just disappeared??

Thanks,
Becky

Answer
Hello, Becky

I may have already answered this question before, however, I don't recall ever seeing this type of pattern before.  It's a very distinct possibility that this pattern may be out of print by now (or OOP, which stands for Out Of Print).

You may go to this website and see if there's anything that you like on it in lieu of the pattern that you were seeking.

They have a beautiful variety of patterns to choose from, including Christian ones. :)

I hope this helps.  Good luck and happy stitching! :)

Sincerely,

Angela :)

I have 22+ years of cross stitching experience, which includes stitching on Aida, evenweave linen, vinyl canvas, and have stitched a design on a cotton t-shirt using waste canvas. I have also worked with beads and blending filament in quite a few projects. I have made many projects which include cross stitched mugs, a keychain, pictures, magnets, and the cotton t-shirt. I can answer questions pertaining to preparing and cleaning fabric, preparing clothing for stitching, how many threads to be used on which Aida cloth, and will try to help you to the best of my ability with other questions you may have. I am prompt in my responses and usually answer within 24 hours from when you ask your question. I look forward to helping you. :)
