Question
The pattern is to be done on 27 ct and I want to convert to 14 ct.  The design size for 27 ct is 12" by 4 1/4".  What would be the design size for 14 ct?

Answer
Ann,

I need a little more information before I can answer. Usually when a pattern is worked on anything smaller than 18 count, it is worked over 2. What this means is that your stitch covers 4 squares instead of one. Working over 2 on 27 count is almost the same as working over 1 (covering just one square) on 14 count. So the material size would be the same.

Just check your instructions if it calls to work the piece over 2 on 27 count it would the same as working over 1 on 14 count. If is is over 1 on 27 count, you would double the dimensions for 14 count, so 24" x 8 1/2".

I hope this was helpful. Please feel free to ask me more questions if you need too!

Happy Stitching!
