Cross Stitch/thread count for 11 count aida

Question
I purchased a kit from Ebay and when I received it the instructions are in chinese. The aida is 11 count. How many threads do I use for this type aida?

On a corner of the fabric, I would suggest trying a few stitches using 3 strands of floss, and see if that covers the fabric. If not, try 4 strands, etc.
I normally use 2 strands for 18 and 14 count fabric. When stitching on 14 count, you can use either 2 strands or 3, depending on your preference for fabric coverage.

| Comment | Thank you very much Angela. I took your advice and tried 3 strands and 2 strands and the 3 strands looked much better on the 11 count aida. The coverage was so much better with 3 strands. I just hope they sent enough thread to be using the 3 strands huh?? That would be terrible if there's not enough thread, but I will keep my fingers crossed!! Thanks again, Lorie Martin | ||
