Cross Stitch/overlap

Question
I'm doing the Last Supper picture in cross stitching and it says "shaded portion indicates overlap from previous section. Do not stitch shaded area."  What does that mean? I'm new at this and learning as I go.  I hope you can help me.

Answer
Debbie,

I will be happy to help you with this question! Because the pattern is so large it is printed on multiple sheets. If there is a shaded portion on one page it is because you will stitch those stitches on another page. They are printed on the next sheet and shaded for a reference for you to help determine where the next stitches go. I hope this makes sense.

You are working on a beautiful piece! You can do it!

Happy Stitching!
Kris
