Cross Stitch/converting linen to something else

Question
The pattern calls for a 19"X15" Blue Spruce Cashel Linen stituched over 2. Is there is blue fabric in something other than linen....perhaps a 14 or 18 count. Thanks

Answer
Hi Judy,

I hope I can help with this. There are several shades of blues in 14 and 18 count Aida. My best suggestion is to find a cross stitch shop near you. If you don't have one near you. I can recommend a couple of internet shops. I use these three. First, is Stitches N Things in Michigan. The website is www.stitchesnthings.com. The second is the Stitch and Frame Shop near Charlotte, NC. The website is www.stitchandframeshop.com. The last is actually my local shop near Columbia, SC, the Needler. The website is www.theneedler.com

I would recommend calling any one of these shops or find another online. There are lots of great ones out there. You can ask them to help you find a conversion from the blue spruce linen to Aida. Make sure to tell them the stitch count and the recommended fabric size. 36 count linen will convert to 18 count Aida. And 28 count linen will convert to 14 Aida.

Good luck with you project!
Happy Stitching!
