Cross Stitch/Aida fabric too small

Question
I'm a returning cross stitcher trying to make a Christmas stocking for my new grandson.  I have a pattern and have been working on it for about 3 weeks, 1/4 done.  I just realized that I didn't figure the center of the fabric correctly when I started and will be short.  Is there anything I can do other than starting all over??

Answer
Jane,

Sorry, I have tried answering you a couple of times now and it not going through. I hope this one does.
I am afraid you are going to have to start over. Adding fabric is almost impossible. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Good luck,
Kris
