Cross Stitch/Back Stitch Motif

Question
I'm currently working on my first project and got to a point where I'm working on the background of Teresa Wentzler's Egyptian Sampler. It states to use #3042 DMC thread for the papyrus motif background but doesn't provide the thread count. Do you think this is a single or double thread backstitch motif?

Thanks!

Answer
Hi there!

First, let me apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I had a death in the family, followed by a family emergency out of state.

Now, for your question. I have seen this worked with one thread. I looked at a picture online and it looks like one thread to me.

I am very impressed with your choice of projects. This one is beautiful!!!

Happy Stitching!
