Question
If I want the finished piece to measure 277 x 300 stitches on 14 count, how large will my pattern have to be?

Answer
Jayne,

I am not sure that I understand what you want. I thinm you are wanting the cut size of the fabric. If so and your design size is 277 x 300 on 14 count - then you would use the formula stitch count/fabric count = fabric size + 4 to 6 inches for finishing (framing, bellpull, pillow, etc.).

So for yours
277/14=19.79 (I round up to next whole number) = 20+4 =24

and

300/14=21.43 or 22+4=26

So your fabric cut size is 24 x 26.

I hope this was what you were wanting to know!

Happy Stitching!
