Question
Hi, I want to do a counted cross stitch pattern on my square dance skirt, but the waste cloth I use is smaller than I want my stitchery to be, so could I use my 14 count waste cloth and stitch 2 squares over and 2 squares up to equal a 7  count pattern?

Answer
Lynn,

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. My father was admitted to the hospital and had to have some unplanned surgery. So I have not been near a computer.

The answer to your question is yes. You certainly can stitch over 2 on the waste canvas to get the size you want! Sounds like a great project!

Happy Stitching!
