Cross Stitch/Big Project

Question
There is a kitty pattern I want to do however it is very large.  It is 30 x 34 cm and consists of 30 colors.  I have only cross-stiched one pattern before that was smaller.  I am rather scared to get into something so big, but I want to do it really bad because it will look totally awesome in the end.  Do you have any advise for me?  Any tips and tricks?  Also, I really want to know how long a project like this will take to complete.
Thanks!

Answer
Adria,

My only advice to you is to do what you are comfortable with. If starting on a big project, start it at the top and work down. Don't get frustrated with it going slow. If you get tired of your big project, pick up a small one and then go back to the big one.

The only rule to cross stitch is to thread your needle and then stitch. That's it! Stitching is a wonderful art. I have been stitching for over 25 years. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

Happy Stitching!
