Cross Stitch/Cross Stitch added to a pillow

Question
I made a cross stitch that I want to "frame" onto a pillow.  Do you have any ideas how I could sew the cross stitch to the cut out area on the front of the pillow?

Answer
Hello Lisa,

Usuaully to frame a cross stitch piece for a pillow, you would take four strips of fabric and sew each strip onto a side of the cross stitch which results in a perfect square frame around your work.

If you alrerady have a cut out area that you want your cross stitch piece to go into then what you will need to do is place the cut-out area over the front of your work so that only the area that you want framed is exposed. Now, using a blind hem stitch, or any other stitch that suites your fancy,  fold over the raw edges of your frame and tack the frame down onto your cross stitch piece.

If you prefer, you can also turn over the raw edges and machine stitch all the way around the work.Either way, make sure your work is neat and clean.

I hope this helps.
