Cross Stitch/French Knots

Question
Hello!

I usually stay away from patterns that contain French Knots ... until the one I am currently working on. I have finished all the other stitches and have looked at 3 different books that explain how to do a French Knot, and have practiced numerous times, but I still cannot do it! I am hoping that you will be able to explain hot to make a French Knot.

Thank you!
Michelle

I have two suggestions for you. First, go to www.classicstitches.com and check the directions for a french knot or the colonial knot. The colonial is a little easier with the same result.

The other suggestion is to use Mill Hill seed beads in a color matching the recommended thread color. Looks great and saves lots of time and headaches.

I hope I have helped!
