Question
Hi Kris:

I'm currently doing a cross stitch that requires a small amount of a certain color of Glissengloss thread for the border.  I cannot find this thread in any local stores, and nobody knows where to find it.  Online, the best I could find was $4 for the thread, with a minimum order of $10 (and I don't feel like paying $10 plus shipping, etc for the border!).

What I would like to know is if there are any alternatives to using this thread, and is there a color conversion chart that will convert the Glissengloss color into a DMC color? (I'm really not that picky and don't care if the border 'glissens' or not!)

Thanks !

Mandy

Answer
Mandy,

I am sorry, but I can't answer that question. May I suggest that you check the Stitches 'N Things website (www.stitchesnthings.com). It is a store in Michigan. They have a great online store also. They may have a suggestion for a different type of thread and I don't thing Deb has a minimum order and only charges actual shipping charges. Contact her through her website.

I hope this is helpful! Good lick on your stitching project!

Happy Stitching!
Kris
