Question
I will be 22 weeks pregnant when I cruise next month. I will need a doctors note...which my doctor will provide...
My problem is...I LOOK 8 months pregnant....very large belly...My other problem is ...will they believe me??? Sure they can call my doctor...but I don't care who you are, my doctor WILL NOT give out any information on any patient, over the phone or through an email...even if I say it is ok...it seems they had a problem with that before, and they simply will not do it...So with my doctors note, that will be valid and true...and with me being large...will they believe me?? I have had people tell me that I look a couple of months farther along than I am right now...this is my second child...what do you think will happen at check in??"
Do I just give them the note, no questions asked?

Answer
Dear Denise,

I would suggest having your doctor type a letter stating your condition, how far along you are, etc. Make sure it is signed and on letterhead with his office details. Send a copy of this letter to the cruise line immediately. Then take the original with you while you are traveling.

It is important to send it to the cruise line now so they can read it and tell you if it is enough. Call your travel agent and make sure he/she checks the cruise line got the letter and they are happy with it.

Have a great trip!
