Question
Is it possible to book a one way trip in a cruise.  Example, cruise goes from A-B-C-A.  Can I book A-B and stay there.  Or another version, can I book the entire trip, get off at B and reboard at B at some later date to return to A.

Answer
Hi, Neal...
The answer to your question, I believe, is mostly no. You can do a repositioning cruise though. The cruise lines will occasionally change their port of origin--for example, I think I just read that the Carnival Splendor is going to be repositioning from NYC to Miami. So, that cruise from NY to FL would be possible, as it would be one way. There are also cruises which are transatlantic--also repositioning. You can also sometimes get cruises that begin on one side of the Panama Canal and end on the other. As far as I know, there are no cruise lines which you can do what you're asking though. Definitely not any of the major cruise lines. Here are some good cruise links below, as well as I found a conversation on a message board on Cruise Critic below too which may be helpful for you. Happy Cruising if and when you go!

These 3 sites are similar and free to use, but Cruise Critic was the first and is the busiest. You can also visit the message boards and talk to people on there if you have questions about anything/everything cruise related. You can talk to people who have been on the same ship you've booked, and also talk to people who will be on your same sailing too.

I love cruising! I've been on Royal Caribbean the most, and I've also been on NCL, Princess, and Carnival. I'm most familiar with Caribbean sailings. Feel free to ask me any questions though. If I don't know the answer, I will try to find it, and if I can't, I'll direct you to some good cruise sites where you can find the info that you're looking for.
