About 7devonapes
Expertise
I will attempt to answer any questions in regard to weird, offbeat, twisted horror/cult/drama films. I also have a fairly broad knowledge of drama and comedy, particularly British films.

Experience
I am a avid horror movie fan who grew watching Evil Dead, Re-Animator, Dawn Of The Dead, Return Of The Living Dead, Demons, Xtro, Night Of The Demons...etc. I have various Charles S. Balun books and other assorted horror guides for reference if needed. As well as horror/cult films, I watch a lot of drama - particularly British films.

Subject: Two movies I remember as a kid and cant think of the title...

Question
So there are two movies that scared me to death as a child (I am sure they are
more cheesy than I remember but when you are little they are scary!)
1. A movie about teenagers that are going to summer camp and they end up
taking over the summer camp...its a horror flick.  The kids cause complete
anarchy at the camp... almost breaking off into gangs and hurting one
another (possibly killing but i barely remember).  I just remember the actual
counselors being tortured or killed, etc.
2.  My babysitter was watching a flick one day and i got so scared from it I
locked myself in the bathroom.  It was about high school kids (possibly late
70s or 80s)... lots of drugs.. especially cocaine.  One scene in particular i
remember is a girl doing a line of coke in a 2nd floor classroom.. she starts
tripping and hallucinating and ends up crashing through the second floor
window and dying in front of other students.  Its all about drugs and stuff..
probably totally campy if I saw it now but scared me half to death back then

Thanks for trying.. over the years I have pretty much given up but I have such
clear memories of them!

Answer
Hi Dina,

Sorry about the late reply.

- The first movie you are looking for is called, "Summer Camp Nightmare" (aka "The Butterfly Revolution") released in 1987.

Plot Summary:

At Camp North Pines for Boys, the campers, led by the charismatic Franklin Reilly, stage a revolt against the strick owner, Mr. Warren, and lock him and the rest of the councelers up and take over the camp for themselves. But the revol soon spirals out of control as the boys also lead a takeover of the nearby girls camp as well. Then, Mr. Warren is accidently killed trying to escape. And, soon friction happens between the two boys and girls camps, which only one camper, a certain Donald Poultry, tries to get the word out and unseat Franklin as the leader.
