About 7devonapes
Expertise I will attempt to answer any questions in regard to weird, offbeat, twisted horror/cult/drama films. I also have a fairly broad knowledge of drama and comedy, particularly British films.
Experience I am a avid horror movie fan who grew watching Evil Dead, Re-Animator, Dawn Of The Dead, Return Of The Living Dead, Demons, Xtro, Night Of The Demons...etc. I have various Charles S. Balun books and other assorted horror guides for reference if needed. As well as horror/cult films, I watch a lot of drama - particularly British films.

Question I've been trying to track down a horror movie I saw long ago. I *think* it was a late-80s film, but I'm not sure. The plot had a little boy and his mother being chased by a cult that thought the boy was the son of satan. A police officer was helping the mother and son escape. The chase ended in a barn, where there was a big fight between the cult and the family + cop. The cop realized the truth when during the fight, which was won by the family, the family dog was critically hurt, yet came back to life after.
I don't remember any actors in the film. It was strictly a B movie, but still it was entertaining.
Thanks for any help.
-Jeff
Answer Hi Jeff,
Sorry for the delay with getting back to you, but have been a busy of late with work, etc.
Not quite sure what this film is, though will take a guess and say it might be a 1988 film called "Watchers", which is based on the Dean Koontz hit novel of the same name.
"Based on a novel by Dean Koontz. A boy takes in a stray dog, later finding out that its an ultra-intelligent runaway from a genetic research lab. Unknow to him, the dog is being stalked by another escaped creature thats not quite so friendly."

DVD copies are readily available from Amazon.com or ebay, among other online DVD retailers.
Best of luck!
