Question
Hi was wondering if you could identify this old film for me.
I saw this film around 1987?
So any way i think it went, this family wakes up and there is this wall around their house, like touching it, and its totally covering the whole house(windows included) They try to get out by smashing the car thats in the internal garage through it I think? Anyway i have been trying to locate this film for YEARS!
Maybe you know of it?

Thanks

Richard

Answer
Hi Richard,

Apologies for the delay.

I think the film you are looking for could actually be an old "Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense" episode titled 'Child's Play' (1986).

A plot summary follows:

"A family awakens to find themselves trapped in their own home, all windows and doors sealed by impenetrable walls. Now they are faced with a bitter sequence of paranormal events forces that have taken over their lives."

You can watch the entire episode on Youtube, here is Part 1:

A complete collection of "Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense" episodes can be purchased on DVD from various online DVD retailers such as Amazon.com and ebay, etc.

Cheers,
Ryan

PS - Also worth a look: An episode from the early '70s Horror / Thriller series "Ghost Story", titled 'House of Evil' (1972). Imdb.com link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0587874/
