Hello, I've been searching for the title of a movie I saw a long time ago...and I'm unable to find it.
I remember it had a witch with a golden mask shaped (I think) like the face of Jesus Christ, I'm not sure if that mask was used to stop her. It's probably from the eighties and italian, but I don't remember, I think I saw a dubbed version. I'm sure it's not Lamberto Bava's Maschera del demonio as I saw it recently.

Man, this has got me stumped. Am thinking it could possibly be Michele Soavi's "La Chiesa" (1989 - aka "The Church")? On the other hand, it does indeed sound like Bava's "La maschera del demonio" (1960 - aka "Black Sunday"). You could try digging through both Mario and Lamberto Bava's filmographies, as well as Dario Argento and the aforementioned Soavi's too for that matter (though is true, the film you are looking for is most probably something a bit more obscure).

I will keep looking for this flick and get back to you if I have any luck. In the meantime, you should go and submit this question to imdb.com's handy "I NEED TO KNOW" section on their message boards, here: http://www.imdb.com/boards/ - is best to exhaust all avenues.
