Cult Movies/Old Question, here's the answer...
Expert: 7devonapes - 7/24/2010
QuestionQUESTION: Hi,
I ran into this old question here:
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Cult-Movies-3263/Strange-French-think-film.htm
I think I have the answer. It's most likely the French movie La Lectrice (German title = Die Vorleserin), director Michel Deville, Miou-Miou playing the gorgeous reader.
Best regards

ANSWER: Hi Demian,
Thanks for kindly passing on such information. I have just notified the person ('Chris') who was indeed seeking this film back in September 2006 (!). Had completely forgot about this one...
All the best!

QUESTION: You're welcome, Ryan.
I do have a question too, and maybe you can help with that. I'm trying to find a movie that I saw in the 70s in Germany on TV. It was a pretty "crazy" movie, I was thinking of Bunuel or Chabrol, but I think it wasn't one of theirs. I only remember a few things (vaguely), but one of those things burned in my memory was a house with a few floors and with no facade, one outside wall was completely missing. One could watch what was happening in the house from the outside. It kinda showed the various inhabitants of that house, "crazy" people and their daily lives. Something like that. Any idea which movie that could be? Thanks!
Best regards
Demian
ANSWER: Hi Demain,
Apologies for the delay.
Nope, sorry, I've absolutely no idea what this one is - though would love to see it!
I can really therefore only recommend you try posting this question in IMDB.com's handy "I Need To Know" section here:
http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000001/threads/. If you do have any luck in finding this film, please let me know OK?
All the best,
Ryan

QUESTION: Hi Ryan,
I just found it last night, finally. It's the French movie "Themroc", by Claude Faraldo, with Michel Picolli. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen.

AnswerHi Demian,
Hey, congrats on tracking this film down! Also, thank you for kindly passing on the title w/ links as I'd very much like to see this one someday. I'd never read about such (both said film and its director) before, so look forward to digging up some more info online regarding all. I wonder if there was ever a DVD released of it?
Anyway, thanks again for replying with such.
All the best,
Ryan
