Cult Movies/Helicopter Gunship Sequence

Question
Hello Ryan, thanks for replying! The segment does not appear in Full Metal Jacket, Uncommon Valor or Last Hunter, but I will certainly try and follow some of the other leads you have suggested... I am fairly sure my time frame of this mystery is very close, maybe a year out either end, and I feel that must help track it down, somewhat...The problem Ryan, is that this helicopter footage was on late in the evening, and I had returned home from an evening out, and probably only caught the last 30 minutes or so... It was virtually the same sequence repeating itself for 25 minutes of a lone gunship attack--it was unique and harrowing! If you have any other leads in the near future, I would be grateful if you could email me privately... and I will certainly let you know if I ever find it! Thanks again! Tom, London.

Answer
Hi Tom,

Yeah, didn't think it was going to be any of those better known War titles (Full Metal Jacket, etc.) I listed, but thought I'd throw them out there just in case. As for the other few I suggested, I've no real idea about those other than that the few grains of info gleamed online, earlier. They're all worth checking out some time, I guess, just in case...

Your comments on the helicopter footage taking place in the last half hour or so, and said sequence repeating itself for 25 minutes, is what stumps me most. Though it's true I'm not the most avid War flick buff, I have seen a good deal of such films in past and I simply do not recall anything along those lines - at least not a battle / action sequence for such an extended period of time, anyway. It definitely does sound unique thing, yeah!

Anyway, I appreciate the further information you've supplied here and if I do indeed stumble upon a possible lead for you in future, I will be sure to let you know. You can contact me at dogginfo@gmail.com - or - grimesinfo@yahoo.com.au

All the best,
