Question
Hi, I am trying to remember a film we saw in the Late - ish eighties while going through loads of off beat Horror Cult movies in the UK. We can remember people sitting around a table in some kind of period costume and their heads slowly change into that of animals. Mainly dogs if memory serves. My brother is convinced that "society" is in the title somewhere. Any help greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi James,

I'm thinking this could be the 1984 Neil Jordan film "The Company of Wolves" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087075/). The scene you're referring to sounds like it's the following (beginning at 0:36, though the 'dogs' don't kick in until round the four minute+ mark): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv4spsyBEnU "Wolves" remains to this day an underrated little Horror / Fantasy gem, and one of director Jordan's most overlooked films.

Cheers!
RH.
