Question
I'm sorry to ask about more than two movies, but you're my only hope! I cannot remember if any of these were actual theater releases or simply made for tv. My best guess is that they all fall within 1975-1983. Here goes:

1)A sci-fi movie about a woman who becomes trapped in her computer controlled house where the computer becomes obsessed by the woman and eventually impregnates her. She gives birth to a baby at the end.

2)A young boy (8-10yrs. old)finds a pit(in the woods?) near his house filled with beasts/monsters that feed on people. The boy lures several adults to the pit one at a time and pushes them in. At the end of the movie, the boy visits a girl (friend or relative?) who takes him to the woods and shows him (surprise!) a pit. As the boy stands near the edge looking in, the girl pushes him in.

3)A small town gets overrun by deadly spiders. I am absoulutely sure this is NOT Arachnophobia w/ John Goodman!! I distinctly remember a scene where a little girl (about 5yrs. old) is playing on her swing and is trapped on it while a swarm of spiders are running beneath her. Her mom rescues her I think. In another scene, a man is flying an open cockpit plane (bi-plane?) and crashes when a bunch of spiders begin crawling on his legs and foot controls.

I appreciate any help, thanks!

Answer
Hi, Julian...

First one - Demon Seed, with Julie Christie... "The Simpsons" actually parodied this one in one of their Halloween episodes...

Second one - The Pit - 1981... one of the unsung funny horror films.... a classic in "so bad it's funny" cinema...

Third one - Kingdom of the spiders" with William Shatner... actually made as a TV movie, believe it or not, in 1977....

Hope this helps,

I am a devout fan of horror films, from the Universal classics to the schlock of the 50`s, on through the 70`s to the splatter era, and straight up to "28 Days Later." Tom Savini films are an extra treat. Ask me about "Knightriders" if you don`t believe me. Anyone else own a copy of that classic?
