Question
I remember back when I was elementary school, I am thinking late 70 early 80... anyway... sketchy details... I remember kids on a school bus going thru a tunnel and came out into a fog and I THINK they were knocked out..not sure... but they were different.. their nails turn black and were evil and in one part a child touched his mother's pregnant tummy and the baby was born with black nails.... I can't remember the name of the movie... I hope you can help... thanks

Answer
Hi Bobbi,

The film you are lookinf for is called "The Children" aka "The Children of Ravensback" which was released in 1980. A plot summary from imdb.com follows:

"A busload of children has disappeared from the quiet New England town of Ravensback, and Sheriff Billy Hart is on the case. A short while later, he manages to track down the kids, but unfortunately they seem to have been transformed into murderous zombies by a cloud of radioactive gas. How can he stop the killer tykes before they destroy the town?"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080527/

Here is a link to a page with video clips and MP3's from the film:

The DVD is available from www.amazon.ca/, www.amazon.co.uk/, and also EBAY.

Best of luck,

Expertise

I will attempt to answer any questions in regard to weird, offbeat, twisted horror/cult/drama films. I also have a fairly broad knowledge of drama and comedy, particularly British films.

Experience

I am a avid horror movie fan who grew watching Evil Dead, Re-Animator, Dawn Of The Dead, Return Of The Living Dead, Demons, Xtro, Night Of The Demons...etc. I have various Charles S. Balun books and other assorted horror guides for reference if needed. As well as horror/cult films, I watch a lot of drama - particularly British films.
