looking for a movie from the 70's a couple moves into a big house  there  little monsters living in the fire place when they unboard it they get loose and torment the girl  and they are afraid of the light i remember stairs and a camara flash

You're looking for a made-for TV movie called "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark." It's one of the few truly classic times that a TV movie made for some great horror moments! Thankfully, because of the enormous cult following of this film, you can find a copy on Ebay or Amazon pretty easily...
