Question
Dear 7devonapes,
I'm trying to remember the names of this movie which was from the early 80's and took place in a Mausoleum. These
teenage kids were gonna sleep overnight in the mausoleum on a dare or something. Next
thing you know bodys started to rise. The main evil guy floated with his
feet inches from the ground and shot lightning from his eyes, the dead floated upright really slow really in their pursuit and shot electricity from their eyes.
It was a really wicked movie with creepy moog synth soundtrack. I got to have it, but I
don't remember the name of the movie!
Thanks...(and it's not Phantasm)

Answer
Hi Irvan,

I think the movie you are looking for is called "One Dark Night" made in 1982, starring Meg Tilly. A plot summary from imdb.com follows:

"A strange man named Karl Rhamarevich dies shortly after discovering a way to become even more powerful in death through telekinesis. On the night of his burial in a crypt, Julie is to spend the night there as part of an initiation rite, supervised by two other girls. The crypt becomes a scene of horror as Raymar returns to life and deploys his horrifying telekinetic powers, with coffins sliding out and splintering open to release decaying bodies on Raymar's command. The bodies soon begin to menace the three girls trapped inside. Will they survive the horrific night in the crypt?"

You can check out pics (including the fella with electricity shooting out his eyes) from the movie via the following link:

The DVD is available from Amazon.com, Video Universe, and eBay at various prices.

Best of luck,
Ryan
