I remember in the early 80's (it was bout 83/84) there was a TV Series and one of the episodes was as follows:

I woman’s son dies at the beach by drowning, so she makes a pact with the devil to bring him back by drawing a pentagram on the floor of her hallway (as you do!!!). Next thing there is a nock at the door and her son is standing there soaking wet. He says that he survived the drowning and has come back forever!!! so the first thing he wants to do is play 'hide and seek' with his mother! So they play hide and seek and finally he is stood at the top of a sweeping staircase and says'

'He didn’t send you your son, he sent me instead' a which point the kid has turned into a demon and jumps down the stairs and kills the woman.

there was a remake in the 90's but that was crap. The reason I want to see this is that I was not allowed to see the demon (my dad said it was too scary) but my sister watched and she was terrifies for years after.

There was a remake of this in the 90's? And it was an 80's TV show? Was it one of the "Tales From The Crypt" episodes? I'm trying to track down any shows that had remakes so soon after the original... do you happen to remember any of the actors in it, or where you might have seen them since?
