Question
I was wondering if you could help me out. I am trying to find out
the name of this horror movie, which I saw when I was young. I
think it was made in the mid or late 70's. It's about this ordinary
girl with blonde hair that meets this other girl, who I remember
had these really light blue or gray eyes, with dark hair in high
school. When they first met there is this tension in their eyes.
The bad girl is actually a witch with telekinetic powers. She
inherits it from her mother who is now either a drunk or crazy.
The nice girl eventually finds out she can also move objects.
There is this great scene, where they both are in the workshop
classroom, or warehouse, and they battle it out, moving all these
objects from the wall and aiming it at each other. I also
remember that at the end, there is some type of bonfire I think
the bad witch was trying to burn the other girl, but her boyfriend
rescues her. In the end, the mother grabs her evil daughter and
they both throw each other in the fire. I hope you can figure this
out, since it has been bothering me, that i can not remember the
name.
Thanks,
Eddie J

Answer
Hi, Eddie...

How odd... someone just recently asked me virtually the same question... I couldn't answer 100%, though, because I've never seen this film... sounds like I need to, though.. I suggested Carrie 2: The Rage, and The Fury as possibilities, though... don't know if the timeline is right for either of them, though... do you remember what either of the girls really looked like, or where you may have seen any of the actors since?

I am a devout fan of horror films, from the Universal classics to the schlock of the 50`s, on through the 70`s to the splatter era, and straight up to "28 Days Later." Tom Savini films are an extra treat. Ask me about "Knightriders" if you don`t believe me. Anyone else own a copy of that classic?
