Cult Movies/Help with movie titles
Expert: 7devonapes - 9/9/2007
QuestionI need help finding three movies. The first tv movie is about someone, maybe their mother, being found in the morning in her bed turned to ashes. I don't know if it was the sun that did it but there are a few people who are riding around town, i think in a station wagon, with no one around and ashes everywhere.
The second was a 70's? late night tv movie. A young couple read from a paper they find and it resurects something. I think it wore all black, with a hood, and it started killing people with some sort of knife. I'm thinking there was a guy in a wheelchair in it who might of lived in a mansion and they went to see him about it.
The third is also a late night movie about a guy who tortures people with different types of torture equipment. Being pulled apart by your arms and legs or by having your head crushed by tighting the machine to it. A guy is in water,it seems like under a building or house, and he tries to escape by trying to lift up the iron doors and swim underneath them.
I hope you can help me with these. Thanks.
AnswerHi Tammy,
I don't really know for sure any of these films that you are looking for, though I will have a guess.
The first I think is called "Near Dark" made in 1987.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093605/
The second I do have information from another person also wanting to know the title. Here is his memories of that film:
"I belive this horror film was in the very early 70s'. A cloaked figure with a hood that was either killing in a house or mansion. His weapon was like a hook (like the urban legend type) or some kind of retractable blade, like a German switchblade perhaps. When I was little I used to call the killer the Hooded Claw. At the end when he was caught, it was some poor mentally retarded guy."
Does this also sound like the film you are looking for?
I know the film myself, yet just think of it's title.
The third film I do not know sorry. You should also try the "The Internet Movie Critic" website with your questions.
Best of luck,
Ryan
