Expert: 7devonapes - 5/5/2007
QuestionQUESTION: Hi. I am looking for a film which I believe was French but dubbed in English...It was set in 1940 and was about a rich man who owned a castle. During the war his family were murdered by soldiers/Nazis...so he manages to find the people and invites them to his castle and watches them thro a 2 way mirror and takes revenge on each of them..The film was a late night one which was shown inthe early 1980s. The title of the film translated was I believe THE MIRROR..If you know where I can get a copy of this film it would be appreciated...thanks in advance for any help...
ANSWER: Hi JC,
I'll take a wild guess and say the movie you are looking for is called "Oglinda" aka "The Mirror" made in 1993 and directed by Sergiu Nicolaescu. There is near zero information available on the internet regarding this film, though you could try contact Sergiu himself for further information about this release at his official website at: www.sergiunicolaescu.ro/
The following links I'm assuming feature excerpts from this film:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qQGY2KLz2Y

Sorry I can't be of much help apart from that. I hope it's the movie you are looking for though I doubt it...
Best of luck,
Ryan

AnswerHi JC,
I doubt you'll have much luck in finding a copy of this film. The only thing I can recommend is for you to visit www.metrocinema.org
Metro Cinema recently had a screening of "I Shall Never Forget" on March 9, 2007. Perhaps if you contacted them you may have some success in finding a copy for sale. A link to the "I Shall Never Forget" page is as follows:
