Question
I have been searching for this movie for years and I have only seen it twice on tv.  It is about this girl who gets killed in a car explosion after her brother and sister tie her shoes together. As the family moves on, the girl's spirit and kills each one off, one by one. The brother is killed when he tries to get the frisbee off the roof and the spirit pushes him out the window.  The movie ends with the mother in a mental ward and all of sudden the girl pops up at the foot of the bed.  By the way, what is your all time favorite horror movie?

Answer
Hi, Debbie...

I'm not finding anything on the movie you are looking for.. any idea what year it was made? Was it during all the "slasher" movies of the early 80's? Do you remember any of the actors, or where you may have seen them since? Lemme know...

As to my favorite horror movie... I'm a sucker for the old "Universal Monsters," the originals of "Dracula," "Frankenstein," "The Mummy," and the like... today, they're not so scary, but the whole atmosphere of the films is chilling... lots of shadows and smoky rooms, with glorious black and white adding to the effect rather than superfluous blood and gore.... that being said, I have this incredible hero-worship thing for the original "Texas Chanisaw Massacre," for many reason. On the surface, it's a freak-out scary film, yes, but.. and here's the big "but".... if you watch it with a group of people, the group will always say that it is one of the goriest films they have ever seen.... but it's not! There is very little actual blood and gore in the movie. It's all implied with camera angles and quick camera cuts, but you never actually see what you think you are seeing... case in point - not to spoil the film for you if you haven't seen it - there is a scene where Leatherface hangs a girl on a meathook and lets her dangle there. There are people that will swear to you that the nastiest scene in the movie is when the hook pierces the girl's back, and "you see it all bloody and gross." But you never see it. He picks the girl up, yes. You see the hook, yes. You see him lift her up, AIMING her back at the hook, yes. You see him bring her down hard, to the hook, yes. BUT - the camera cuts to the opposite view just before she is impaled, to her face, her reaction to the obvious pain and shock of what has happened. Then he lets go of her, and the camera cuts to her feet about two feet off the floor, and back to her face, and her hands trying to reach back and somehow free herself... but you NEVER see him impale her. The editing is so good that your mind just fills in the blanks, and you think you see what you never actually see... fantastic filmwork...

Sorry, didn't mean to lecture... LOL.. lemme know if you can remember anything about that other film...

I am a devout fan of horror films, from the Universal classics to the schlock of the 50`s, on through the 70`s to the splatter era, and straight up to "28 Days Later." Tom Savini films are an extra treat. Ask me about "Knightriders" if you don`t believe me. Anyone else own a copy of that classic?
