Hate to say it, but the cast of Nick Philips' original film was uncredited... I cannot find a cast listing anywhere... I've only seen it once, but, to my knowledge, I've never seen "Jean" since... does she remind you of anyone? I might could run a search that way and see if the name you are thinking appears anywhere...
