Question
I am doing some research on forthcoming horror movies and am wondering if you could tell me if you know of any releases later this year/early next which are sexy horror movies kind of old school alike, where you get the gore, suspense, stabbing etc but you also get naked flesh and some sexy scenes too?

Id really appreciate your thoughts.

Best wishes

Jessica

Answer
Hi, Jessica...

To my knowledge, nobody is focusing on the "T&A" horror films anymore... with the onslaught of CGI graphics and such, there's too much else out there to tittilate (pardon the pun) the audiences with than random bimbos in various states of undress... not being sexist, but, for the most part, that's all those women were used for is mindless flashes of breasts and buttocks... these days, everyone is interested in just how gory you can make it, or just how many times you can make an audience member look away from the screen...

The days of the "scream queen," like Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens are long past. I hate it, because I had a major crush on Quigley, thanks to her Oscar-caliber performances in "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers" and "Sorority Babes in the Sleazeball Bowl-a-rama" (not making either of those titles up, by the way...).

Any other way I can help? If you need any immediate reference material for your research, check out Troma Films... they were the masters of the cheap, cruddy horror film with naked women all over the place...

Hope this helps,

PCG

I am a devout fan of horror films, from the Universal classics to the schlock of the 50`s, on through the 70`s to the splatter era, and straight up to "28 Days Later." Tom Savini films are an extra treat. Ask me about "Knightriders" if you don`t believe me. Anyone else own a copy of that classic?

Just a lifetime subscription to "Famous Monsters of Filmland," and another to "Fangoria."
