Question
I remember an image from a film of a bowl of porridge / oatmeal, when the spoon is dug into it, blood oozes out.  None of my friends know what i am talking about, and i cant remember any further details, in fact i am beginning to think i have imagined the whole thing.  Do you know of any film with such a scene?

Answer
Hi, Sarah...

Well, tell your friends you are NOT crazy! The scene you are talking about is from Eddie Murphy's "The Golden Child." In order to corrupt the spirit of the Golden Child, the bad guys try to make him injest blood, hidden in oatmeal. The kid won't eat it.. but Eddie, playing Chandler Jarrell, finds the bowl in the sink of the biker's den, spoons into it, and up bubbles blood...

You win, dear!

Keep it "reel,"

I am a devout fan of horror films, from the Universal classics to the schlock of the 50`s, on through the 70`s to the splatter era, and straight up to "28 Days Later." Tom Savini films are an extra treat. Ask me about "Knightriders" if you don`t believe me. Anyone else own a copy of that classic?
