Question
I saw this movie when I was 11 Im now 24. I dont know if its a monster or alien movie. All I remember is one part the "monster" was in a pool. And another part it got into the parents bed and I guess it absorbed them. It was like a blob with tentacles and it was wearing their heads. I saw it on a VHS. Please can you help me? Nobody else can. If you can you are GOD of movies!! Thanx.

Answer
Hi Adam,

I was thinking maybe the movie you are looking for is called "The Borrower" made in 1991. An imdb.com user comment of the film follows:

An alien is condemned by trial to spend his rest of his life as a human being on Earth. He is warned that some "metamorphs" can occur and it happens right away.. His head explodes and he quickly replace it with a new one. We follow this alien trying to adapt to society. One problem.. His new head also explodes so he has to get a new one...and a new... Meanwhile a detective is investigating some strange murders including lost heads... I liked this film in '91 and this year I obtained a laserdisc and now it's in my collection. A must for splatter fans..

Check out the following imdb.com link for further information:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101502/

Or, perhaps it's "The Blob" (1988) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094761/

It's probably neither of those two I mentioned, so if you remember anything else about this movie you're looking for, let me know and I'll keep searching for it. It does sound somewhat familiar.

Best of luck,
Ryan
