Cult Movies/horror movie question

Question
There are 2 horror movies that I am trying to find the names of. I'm 38 and I saw these movies as a young kid, maybe 7 or 8. I can only remember a couple of scenes from each. In one of the films, there is a scene of a person being cremated alive, in a coffin. I'm pretty sure, in the same film, there is a death scene involving a soda machine (like the glass ones in pizzerias), and the victim's blood goes into the machine. In the other film I can only remember a lot of chase scenes through castle corridors, and at the end of the film, a man tries to rescue a girl from some kind of cult. She's sitting with others in a circle, and when the man touches her, she falls apart, like she's made of dirt. Any help with these films would be greatly appreciated, it's been haunting me for many years. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Vinnie,

Not sure what either of these movies are called, though will take a guess and say the first one is either "Psychic Killer" (1975), or "Frightmare" aka "Horror Star" (1983). "Psychic Killer" is about a former mental patient uses astral projection to destroy the people he believes have wronged him. "Frightmare" aka "Horror Star" is about drama students who decide to pay tribute to their favorite horror star by stealing his body from his crypt for a farewell party.

Here are trailers for "Psychic Killer" and "Frightmare" aka "Horror Star"

The other film you mentioned with the girl falling apart to dirt/dust, I have no idea what that one is.

DVD copies of both films are available from Amazon.com, and ebay.

Best of luck,
Ryan
