Question If I were to build a new PC for DOS what should I be looking for? Single or dual core processor? Native floppy drive? Suitable graphics card? SATA drives? USB?
I have a lot of old DOS programs kicking around on 3.5" and 5.25" floppies, including versions of DESQview, DESQview/X and QEMM etc. Could be fun!
Answer You would need a small about 2 gig HD or less because a larger one would need to be partitioned many times. A 486 cpu single core graphics can be as low as 8 gig would suit your purpose I don’t recommend Sata, basic IDE is better. Then install dos 6.22. That’s the best stand alone system ever made. Floppy and CD Rom should also be added.
