Question I notice that while the Cowboys basic uniform has not changed greatly since the 70s, there have been subtle changes to the numbers over the years. First getting rid of those extra "lips" in the 80s, then I notice they went to the extra-bold numbers from the 90s Super Bowls, then they changed ever-so-slightly again from then to now, namely that they're now sewn-on and the "5" has gone from a tapered corner to a square-edge in the middle (yes I notice these things), but I'm not sure when the thicker numbers or the sewn-on numbers first came. The "road" unis seem to follow a different pattern entirely but that's for another question.
Answer Hello,
I would love to answer this question, but unfortunetly my expertise is more in the tanglible realms of cowboy's history such as indivdual stats, team yearly records, down to actual individual game score, big plays ect.
Uniform colors, although I have noticed some sublte changes, is not really something I pay much attention too.
