Rick, what about Mitch Hoopes? I believe this rookie punter wore #9 in 1975. In fact, I'm certain that he did as he stayed with the team all the way through the Super Bowl (but was off the team the next year when Danny White took over as punter).

Criag Cupp's father also played for the Cowboys.. Jake Cupp was an All Pro Line for the Saints. He played with the Cowboys in 1964 and 1965.
