About Fred Goodwin
Expertise
My particular expertise is Cowboys history from 1960-1988 (the Landry era); I'm also a Cowboys book fanatic (I have almost 200 different Cowboys-related titles), and I also collect Cowboys football cards (but stopped in 93). But I am not an expert in the value of cards or collectibles – so please don't ask.

Before you ask: "So-and-so" almost certainly DID NOT PLAY for the Cowboys -- trust me! Before you ask me, ask the guy for proof!

Finally, I DO NOT ANSWER “PRIVATE” QUESTIONS! My work requires research, so the results must be made public.

Experience
I had a Cowboys webpage recognized around the Internet as the authoritative list of Cowboys links, and I have a Cowboys book collection second to none (200 titles). In addition to my book collection, I have every Cowboys media guide back to 1960, which makes researching questions much easier.

Answer
Larry:

According to the Cowboys media guide, most of the numbers you ask about weren't worn by anyone during the years in question:

15 in 1960: first worn by Toni Fritsch in '71

40 in 2000: Bill Bates wore it until '97; Keith Davis wore it in '02; nobody wore it in-between

93 in 1994: Reggie Cooper wore it in '91; Mike Ulufale next wore it in '96; nobody wore it in-between

89 in 1995: Scott Galbraith wore it in '94; Derek Ware wore in '96; nobody wore it in-between

76 in 1976: John Niland wore it in '74; Larry Bethea next wore it in '78; nobody wore it in-between

11 in 1992: Danny White wore it until '88; Wade Wilson next wore it in '95; nobody wore it in-between

34 in 1984: Monty Hunter wore it in '82; Herschel Walker next wore it in '86; nobody wore it in-between

77 in 1977: Bill Gregory wore it from '71 to '77

24 in 1971: Dennis Homan wore it in '70; Alois Blackwell next wore it in '78; nobody wore it in-between

63 in 1967: Mike Falls wore it in '61; Larry Cole next wore it in '68; nobody wore it in-between

40 in 1965: Jim Stiger wore it from '63 to '65

76 in 1962: John Gonzaga wore it in '60; Ed Nutting next wore it in '63; nobody wore it in-between

I hope this answers your question.
