About Duke Ha
Expertise
I have extensive knowledge of the 1990's-Present Dallas Cowboys teams. Specifically, team uniforms, equipment, and so forth. I own numerous Cowboys memorabilia and would love to one day write a book on the evolution of the team's uniforms dating back to their inception in 1960. I may not be able to answer most Cowboys questions prior to the 1990's as I was but a youth at the time :-).

Experience
I make annual trips to see the Cowboys at Texas Stadium. I have a library of Cowboys books, dvd's and VHS tapes. I have recorded nearly all games dating back since the 1998 season. I am an artist, so most of my collections such as cards and photos are not for value, but rather for reference. I appreciate the asthetics of the Cowboys and the game of football. As a hobby, I customize and paint McFarlane Dallas Cowboy figures to near exact detail as their live counterparts. I own several game used items, autographs, and roughly 10-12 authentic jerseys with 3 different manufacturers.

Publications
I have no known publications. However, as of October 16, 2006, my written work and art has mostly been seen on the Wikipedia topic the Dallas Cowboys- uniforms/logos.

Education/Credentials
Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts, Associates of Arts in Graphic Design, Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts with emphasis in Illustration. My dream would be, of course, to work for the Dallas Cowboys organization possibly for their marketing and design team. The Dallas Cowboys annual bluebooks and game programs have always interested me.

Question
I have a helmet with dallas cowboy signatures.  4 players i reconize on the helmet, Mike saxon #4, Bill bates # 40, Jack Del Rio # 55. Alexander Wright #89. There are other players on the helmets, but I cannot determine what year it is from.  Can I get the roster from 1989-1991 from you if you have it.  Other numbers on the helmet are #34, 18, 51, 9(jeff ?), 11 (casey ?) #70.   We are donating to the american cancer in a silent auction and I want to put a dollar figure on it thank you

Answer
Hi Laura,
That's a good cause that you're doing and I am happy to help.  But rather than typing out the entire 3 year roster which can be very time consuming (team rosters are widely available on the internet as well), I will just give you some names that may match those player numbers you seek.

34 - Herschel Walker RB 1986-1989 or Tommie Agee FB 1990-1994
18 - Cliff Stoudt QB 1990-1991
51 - Ken Norton Jr. LB 1988-1993
9 - Roger Ruzek K 1987-1989 or Craig Kupp QB 1991
11 - ?
70 - Bob White OL 1987-1989 or Mark Stepnoski C 1989-1994

Now these names are "official" players that are recognized by the Dallas Cowboys that were on the 53 man roster sometime during that particular season.  Because of injuries, lots of roster moves are made during the season and the player that may have signed your helmet may have been taken from another team mid-season, signed as a free agent, or moved up from the practice squad.

Also keep in mind that the Cowboys usually go into training camp in July with about 80 or so more players and slowly week-by-week make roster cuts down to the mandated 53 before the season starts.  So one of these players could have worn the jersey number and signed your helmet before being cut.  But unfortunately he is not listed in my official Dallas Cowboys Media Guide because he didn't make the team when the regular season started.

Players like that are difficult to track down.  I would say since you're doing it for a good cause, the best way and probably only way information like that could be found, is by contacting the Dallas Cowboys directly.  Here is the information to their offices which I believe is the same as their training facility known as Valley Ranch.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but thanks for asking!!!
