Question
When did Babe Laufenburg quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and how good or bad was he?

Answer
Hello Ken!

Babe played for Dallas as a backup for 2 years. 1989 and 1990. Then he retired.

He did very little for Dallas during that period. His only claim to fame for the Cowboys was his last 2 games in the 1990 Season. The Cowboys had just won 4 straight games to even their record out at 7-7. WIth a playoff berth on the line, Aikman had gotten hurt and Laufenburg came in to QB the final 2 games. He played horribly, generating just 10 points in 2 games as Dallas dropped the final 2 games to finish 7-9 and out of the playoffs.

That ended a short and generally insignificant career.

Thanks, Rick
