About Duke Ha
Expertise
I have extensive knowledge of the 1990's-Present Dallas Cowboys teams. Specifically, team uniforms, equipment, and so forth. I own numerous Cowboys memorabilia and would love to one day write a book on the evolution of the team's uniforms dating back to their inception in 1960. I may not be able to answer most Cowboys questions prior to the 1990's as I was but a youth at the time :-).

Experience
I make annual trips to see the Cowboys at Texas Stadium. I have a library of Cowboys books, dvd's and VHS tapes. I have recorded nearly all games dating back since the 1998 season. I am an artist, so most of my collections such as cards and photos are not for value, but rather for reference. I appreciate the asthetics of the Cowboys and the game of football. As a hobby, I customize and paint McFarlane Dallas Cowboy figures to near exact detail as their live counterparts. I own several game used items, autographs, and roughly 10-12 authentic jerseys with 3 different manufacturers.

Publications
I have no known publications. However, as of October 16, 2006, my written work and art has mostly been seen on the Wikipedia topic the Dallas Cowboys- uniforms/logos.

Education/Credentials
Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts, Associates of Arts in Graphic Design, Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts with emphasis in Illustration. My dream would be, of course, to work for the Dallas Cowboys organization possibly for their marketing and design team. The Dallas Cowboys annual bluebooks and game programs have always interested me.

Question
I have recently purchased a official NFL Wison Football with Tony Romo's autograph on it. But, There is also another autograph on the ball. The number under the players name is 22. The man I purchased the ball from said he obtained it 3 years ago. (2004?) The name kind of reads as C. M. Tharp or something like that..any ideas who this could be? thanks

Answer
Hi Jerry,
congratulations on the autographed Romo football.  Unfortunately, I know of no such player that wore number 22 with that name.  Emmitt Smith left after the 2002 season and he was the last to wear that number and I highly doubt the team will ever issue the #22 ever again.

Emmitt does sign his name with a 22 at the bottom.  His signature usually encompasses his full name:
Emmitt J(ames) Smith followed by the #22.

Here is a list of all Cowboys that have worn the jersey #22.
Bill Butler - 1960
Amos Bullocks - 1962-1964
Bob Hayes - 1965-1974
Wade Manning - 1979
George Peoples - 1982
Victor Scott - 1984-1988
Emmitt Smith - 1990-2002

So whomever it was that autographed your football other than Tony Romo, unfortunately it probably wasn't a Dallas Cowboy...atleast not officially.  It could've been a rookie that was assigned the number in the 2004 season in training camp and prior to the 53 man roster cuts, but with that being a revolving door, really hard to say.  Sorry I couldn't completely answer your question but good luck and thanks for asking!!!
