I am sorry. It had nothing to do with the Cowboys......only my question about Billy Cannon Jr.....who was the 1984 1st rounder of the Cowboys. I did read it in the tiger forum about his death and even though it has been so long ago it seems like only a few years ago we were still kids. Thanks for replying.

Um i am Billy Cannon's grand daughter. He is well alive and living right next door to me so please get your research straight. He had five and i am the daughter of his only son. thank you and learn how to do PROPER research. My grandpa did in fact play in the NFL and so did my father. Thank you

Both Jr. and Sr. are alive. That first answer was way off. I grew up around the corner from Jr's cousins and played against him in high school. Jr. had a very dangerous injury during spring (if i remember correctly) of his first year with the Cowboys (1st round / 25th pick). After that he was unable to play any longer. Rumors of his demise are greatly exaggerated.

Not sure if you're confusing Billy Cannon Sr with Jr but both are alive. Billy's father is a practicing orthodontist in the LA prison system. I don't know what Billy is doing but I'm trying to find out. He was in the oil business right after retiring but that was many years ago.
There is another Billy Cannon father and son from Milwaukee who were involved in drugs but don't confuse them with the former first round draft picks from LA.

John died from hemorrhaging from complications of a uvalopalatoplasty. It was back in March of 1999 right before his birthday. me and 4 others were his adopted kids from my mom's previous marriage with my father and my little sister Annelise is his one biological child. John was a saint an taught me more than I realized when I was younger. Are you the guy that posted on tiger droppings back in 2007 asking about him and Cannon? I think your name is CannonFanInTexas or something? my email is email@example.com if you have any questions about John.
